FAQ: Why Can't I Open My Downloaded Orthomosaic from DataHub?

If your processed map yields an orthophoto larger than 500MB, you may not able to open the file with your computer's native photo viewer.  It's common to get an error message that the file couldn't be opened or that it was damaged when trying to open large-sized TIFF files.

We recommend using a different program that are capable of opening large TIFF files. You can also download QGIS, a free open-source application that can be used to open TIFF files, shapefiles, and vector files.
