FAQ: Is deep ground and standard object removal available for PPF uploads?

Deepground Object Removal

Achieving deep-ground object removal for Pre-Processed Files (PPF) uploads is not possible.  Successful deep ground object removal relies upon essential elements: the pointcloud, accompanying aerial imagery, and precise camera parameters.

These are instrumental in meticulously discerning and subsequently excising objects. The PPF upload workflow exclusively allows for the upload of the point cloud, orthomosaics, and digital surface models or digital terrain models (DSM/DTMs) only.

Consequently, this omission of actual photos (aerial imagery) makes it impossible to acquire requisite camera parameters, thereby impeding deep-ground object removal.

Standard Object Removal

Standard object removal and ground return outputs typically require only the pointcloud.
