FAQ: How accurate is the placement of photos on the map?

Dashboard uses the GPS coordinates provided by the camera that took the photo (usually on a phone or tablet), so Dashboard's accuracy will mirror that of the GPS when the photo was taken. 3 meters (10 feet) accuracy is a good rule of thumb when you are outdoors. Phone/tablet GPS will typically have lower accuracy inside buildings (strong cellular and WiFi coverage will help).
