Step-by-Step Workflow: Navigating Data Discovery
• Select the “Explore” tab in the top left of the navigation menu. Data Discovery will load with the last viewed Organization selected by default.
• Apply a date filter to display only datasets from specific date ranges.
• Zoom into your area of interest and datasets will automatically filter.
• Select a dataset that covers the AOI and is from a relevant date.
Timeline Filtering
• Set a date range to only show datasets within a specific time period. After that, navigate through dataset dates via a controllable timeline at the bottom of the map.
- Click & drag to move left and right
- Zoom in & out to change the displayed dataset date ranges
Area of Interest Filtering
• After you have set a date range, Zoom in to a specific area of interest on-site
- Datasets will automatically filter to show only what covers the area on the user's screen.
- Easily see available datasets covering the needed areas.
Dataset Details
• Select a dataset that fits your location & date criteria
• Quickly view the parameters of the dataset:
-
- Settings used.
- Date and time of capture.
- Available outputs (point cloud, 3Dmesh, etc.)
- Sensor and drone used.
• Navigate directly to DataHub by clicking View dataset to export processed outputs, perform analytics, or view additional visualizations of the selected dataset.
Known Limitations
• Currently Pre-Processed Files (PPF) are not available in Data Discovery view. However, they will be included in an upcoming release in the near term future.
•Loading more than 300 datasets in a single Data Discovery view may degrade performance, depending on the user's browser resources.
