SkyFlight enables you to integrate custom base maps directly into the app, providing improved planning with the latest imagery. These basemap layers (.skybasemap) need to be created using Skycatch DataHub.
Basemap Importing Steps
1. Login to SkyFlight and Click Create Mission.
2. Click High Precision mapping or Highwall Scanning (depending on your needs)
3. Click Skip, or import your KML or DSM if needed for your Flight Planning.
4. Click on the Layers icon and select Add Basemap. Navigate to your basemap file from your storage. Then, click it to select.
6. SkyFlight will now display your custom basemap in the viewport so you can plan your flight with convenience and precision. You can adjust the zoom level by touching the screen.
Note:
We recommend using small to medium area coverage for the custom base maps, as very large areas could compromise performance due to the RC's capabilities
