Skycatch flight app for DJI makes mapping easy with its automated mission flying. However, there may be situations where you need to manually take control of your drone. Depending on the scenario, you can use one of the below options:
- Nudge Control - You can, at any time during your flight app mission, manually steer and move the drone from your remote controller. If you take this action while taking off, flying, or landing, the drone will respond. Once the drone stops receiving inputs from the remote controller, it will try to readjust and continue with its planned mission.
- Use the Pause button - Tapping the "Pause" button that's displayed in the upper right-hand corner of the flight app will hold the drone at that position. You can manually steer and move the drone from your remote controller while it's paused. From here you can either tap "Resume" and the drone will move back to the location where it was paused and continue with its mission. Or you can also manually fly and land the drone. The Flight app will know that your drone has landed so you can stop the mission by tapping Resume or exiting the Mission board.
- Switch the Flight Mode - You can also manually override the Flight app by switching the flight mode on your RC. For Phantom 4, switch the flight mode from P to A. For the Inspire and Phantom 3, switch the flight mode from F to P. This will prevent the drone from receiving any inputs from the Flight app so that you can fully control your drone via manual inputs from your remote controller.
