How to Pick a Good Takeoff/Landing Spot

Choosing a good area to fly safely is crucial in having a safe operation.  Follow the next steps to ensure a good and safe takeoff & landing spot.

1. Ensure the drone has a radius of 10 m / 32.8 ft that is absolutely clear of animals and people during takeoff and landing.
   
   
2. Make sure the area is flat.  Slight bumps may cause issues for the drone when it is attempting to auto land itself.
   
   
3. Get educated on safe, legal flying via sites like Know Before You Fly and AirMap before you go flying.
